• Just seems inconsistent given that ebikes are legal.
    I agree the law needs to be looked at here but I also think laws around bikes, scooters, skateboards use should be included in such a review.
    I think there any many positives to both motorised versions, I do have concerns over the batteries mind.

    Only pedal assisted ones. If they were twist and go like the scooters are then they’d be classed in the same category as mopeds and you’d need a license (at least CBT), registration and insurance

    Repeating what’s already been said, only pedal assisted ones. And they’re only allowed to assist up to 16mph (ish) to still be considered a push bicycle.

    Think you are allowed up to 4mph un-assisted.

    High speeds, tiny scooter wheels, poor road surface conditions and shit brakes = bad times :)
