  • Surely swapping your own bike in and out of a direct drive trainer is a lot easier than changing the position on one of the full bike setups every time the other partner wants to train?

  • It takes less than 30 seconds to change something like a wattbike’s position if you know the settings.
    On a trainer:
    Taking a bike off the trainer, putting the wheel back on, taking it back to the garage, bringing partner’s bike inside, taking the wheel off partner’s bike, putting it on the trainer, change software account, connect devices, recalibrate and ready to ride.

    Whereas I am happy to do this, my partner definitely can’t be arsed to do this every time, and just wouldn’t ride.
    And I couldn’t really be arsed to do it for her, so I have 2 hammer trainers....
