airlok xtra 13l
the strap points line up spot on, i have sewn a couple of bits of velcro strip through the bits on the bag so i can hook the velcro loops over the cradle to hold it while i do the straps up.

Perfect, that's what I have already! Was thinking of going for the double ended to make it easier to get loaded centrally, but I'll try it with the Xtra first.

Also looks ideal, thank you

I want to replace the straps on my rockbros top tube bag with a soft/felt style velcro strap - similar to those found on the rapha frame bag. where can I buy such a thing?

Any recommendations in-and-around the small Decathlon handlebar bag and the Road Runner Burrito Supreme? The Decathlon appears to be a bit wobbly, and the Burrito has a lead-time plus US postage. I'm looking for something that goes on a road bike, is cheap (entry level), and won't take an age to deliver.

Loads of BTR (and OEM) options on Amazon like this one:

Also carradice zipped roll or miss grape moon. -

Thanks, I'll go for that while I save up for the Outer Shell drawcord bag..

I have the decathlon one, it's alright but not amazing. I think the side pockets etc on some of the BTR that are available on amazon look very appealing.
The real bang for buck decathlon bag is the feedbag/fabric water bottle thing.

I have this lomo bag which is good - 3L is not exactly roomy but was enough for me on a recent tour. the webbing is a nice-to-have too

I quite fancy doing this loop in Germany before the year is out: Sweet and Sauerland
The route starts around 55km from Cologne airport, so would be 350km in total.
Thinking to do it on a Surly Straggler.
Has anyone else ridden in this area?

Thoughts on the usefulness of this?
-
• #5568
I was looking at that just the other day, I think as a bag maker had linked specifically to it. To my mind, it's less useful than the one that turns with your handlebars. I do fancy something for that purpose though, as my stem pouch thingy doesn't fit my mtb cockpit
-
• #5569
This will also turn with your bars, right? Which one are you thinking of?
-
• #5570
Ah yeah, I meant one that doesnt turn, I can't find it now but I'm sure I saw a two piece job with a much smaller attachment area that made it only really appropriate for one bag at a time
-
• #5572
that is the one!
-
• #5573
Looks far better than the Rockgeist one, limit of one bag is a tradeoff though.
-
• #5574
I think he also did a run of them with two loops/attachment points if I remember. Check bear bones as I think the maker is fairly active on there.

Oh that's a good rabbit hole to dive into now I'm getting into bike bag making.
Ended up not getting it because if I incorporate a small polypropylene box in my bolt-on top-tube bag it shouldn't need a strap around the steerer.
Which drybag? Do the strapping points on the alpkit bags roughly line up with the cradle? This was my plan too.
