Time is ripe for a vote of no confidence now surely, to secure a coalition of labour, PC, LD and SNP rather than a GE.

Not sure the Lib Dems would go for it, or that the ex-Cons would necessarily vote against the government in a VONC, but it would be hilarious if by scrapping his majority Johnson managed to lose control without even having an election.

It seems like the big GNU problem - getting rebel tories to back it - just solved itself now they've had the whip removed. If they can agree on a leader that is, then that's Brexit done and dusted!
