Thanks. He had the second set of stitches out on Friday, so it’s now just dressed and healing naturally- apparently Manuka honey is a real thing for dog wounds. I’m astounded that he has healed from that bone deep wound to a surface would that’s scabbing over, in 10 days. Without being able fully close it with stitches.
The hood stays until it’s completely healed. Done up with zip ties

Getting Buzz was the best thing I think I've ever done. He makes us both so happy and it feels good to know we gave him a home after he was given back to the shelter by his previous owner. How they could give him up I will never know.
We were incredibly curious about his lineage so we did a DNA Test (his mother forced me!) And it turns out he's 50% Chihuahua 50% Beagle. Apparently some people call them cheagles... Here's a photo of him being very unimpressed with New York's rain this weekend. He likes the jacket though. Won't go out in the rain unless he's wearing it 😂
