That was my thought too. Wondering if the lack of BAME people in Cumbria have left Thor and his lackeys short of ways to vent their racism, and this guy, well he was from Africa so might have been the best they could find.
That's the trouble with Brexit and Trump, it might have given people the permission to be racist, but what about all those folk that don't have people to be racist against? who is catering for them?

I'm not sure if does, the abuse was racial, even if racism by proxy, the charges should be racial, the compensation should possibly be xenophobia based if that's a thing but the problem isn't that this guy got a pay out, but that there are going to be countless worse cases for black people that don't even get a look in.
