Yeah, that's pretty niche especially in London 2019. I know you've been on the lookout for that kind of thing for a long time, would be interesting to know how much of it was unique to SA.

I wouldnt have thought so as it's electronic dance music... So it's imported and bought likeiit would've been done here in the 90s. On vinyl. The only difference I can see would be the tastes would vary. So what's popular there might not feature here and vice versa.
There was a genre, funky house, that seemed to be different to what was here at the time.
