I’ve been in the hospital all day now, in a room of my own- waiting for my next scan to see if the lung is returning to normal or collapsing further. I’m frankly terrified at how much this is going to cost me.

Doesn’t travel insurance cover this? I’ll be in SF later this year and was planning on maybe renting a bike but might reconsider if crashing could virtually bankrupt me.

Yeah depends entirely on your insurance.

However, if you tell them you fell off your bike in a non competitive setting, you should be fine.

If you tell them you were getting rad, maybe not so much.

Dog tag are good for getting rad BTW, and they also cover esoteric medical conditions.
