Ah. Presumably expecting a hung parliament and formation of a GNU. Esp if Clarke and the rebels have been expelled from the Tories and are elected as independents/under a new party umbrella, he might be more palatable to Labour. Longshot I'd say.

Yes - rumours are that if the government lose the no no-deal vote tomorrow they will call for a general election, prob for 17th October, and Labour will back that.
