Do you find a Jazz more exciting? The Civic was beige - until 2006. From the RAC:
The collective clonking sound at the 2005 Geneva motor show was that of a thousand journalist jaws hitting the deck when Honda pulled the wraps off the eighth generation Civic. Most hacks are a jaded bunch, singularly unimpressed by flight of fancy show cars but this was a model that looked as if it had flowed straight off a tyro designer's pen and was made metal in production ready form right in front of us. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage, The Ferrari F430 Spyder and the BMW M6 were all overshadowed by a five-door hatchback built in Swindon. That was some coup.
When it was unveiled in 2006 the new Civic looked like a fucking spaceship. And the dashboard/speedo etc. still looks like one. So much of that design has been appropriated since for more 'modern' cars but it's a design that still looks incredibly fresh for its age - we've just got very used to it because there are so many about.
They do look a LOT better with body coloured bumpers (on the type R and some type S's).

Never got around to test driving a Civic, but there is something beautifully utilitarian about a Jazz IMO. It's obvs a small budget car like a Fiesta etc. but it felt so spacious and well thought out... it's sort of the antithesis of a Fiat 500 (which I also like fwiw).
As Dammit pointed out a few pages back, as you're pretty much only ever going to be sitting in traffic listening to R4, it doesn't really matter if it's an exciting drive.
If beige was a car.
