I wasn't clear initally. I have no issue paying £240, take responsibility for the issue.
The repair has only just now been carried out a year after the incident. So, a year after the incident (that i'd forgotten all about), I get a text asking if I want a receipt for the £240 for the painting (that has just finally been done). That was the first contact. No prior contact to say that he's just now 1 year after the incident going to get the work done, it'll be £240 am I still okay to pay as it's been a year. No phone call, no polite reminder.
Plus, I've got a great handyman who I'd have sent round to do the work.
No way that flies anywhere else, you'd get told to shove it.
If it's any help, we had a leak last year because the balcony drain wasn't draining above us.
It took the council ages to fix. And I'm just about already to hand in my claim forms to the insurance.
