Weird, I've lived about 10 minutes from I Am Doner since it opened, had never been, went last night for the first time and then read this thread with a quote from the owner. Would really recommend it if you're ever in Leeds! There's a fancy beer place a couple of doors down that lets you bring it in there to eat as well.

I'm in Leeds again next week, may give that place a try -I've never had a kebab before.

I still wonder if it's going to be anything more than faddish--e.g., looking at how the vegan chip shop in Graham Road closed down quite quickly after demand presumably levelled off when people's curiosity was sated. Still, it can't be denied that the junk food angle got huge attention, being strangely inclusive.
