I had one of these in 2XL, decided to size down once I was more flexible and bought....another Ultimate SLX in this size. Love it to bits although always have the sneaking suspicion its way too much bike for my leisurely uses but hey...
Anyway, have a bump.

Yeah I went from the 2xl to the 58 as the max seatpost was 870 which was my fit at the time, but my subsequent fit (which produces more power) was at 890 which is out of reach of the XL.

Story
Purchased this in 2017 after a car took me out and cracked my previous generation bike. After looking at the sizing I dropped from a 61 to a 58 but, after having a new bike fit done it was evident that a 6’6” guy riding a 58 was a a bit of a stretch. I made the best of it this year with a longer seat post but an opportunity to buy an Ultimate in the next size up has presented itself and I’m going to take it.
I’ve been riding the Ultimate in its various guises since 2010 and with this current generation I really do think it’s the best mix of aero, weight and stiffness. I’ve also had none of the problems that I had with the previous designs cracking at the seat tube. If you’re worried on that front: don’t be, I put out 1500 watts in efforts and this thing does fine.
I’ll be buying my next bike from Canyon and will port over the tyres, saddle, bar tape and repackage the bike in Canyon’s box so all you’ll need to do it whack your pedals and cages on.
Happy to do collection in Bath or post a cost.
Not splitting, not doing ono, if you want to outbid someone that's fine by me. Highest bidder over asking wins 9am Tuesday morning.
