What size is the Genesis?
-
• #3
Sizes would be more than welcome ;)
-
• #4
Sorry guys, Volare is a Medium too...was sure I had it in there, clearly not!
-
• #5
Judging from the above, the replacement bike will likely be a Peugeot SS conversion.. ;)
Mildly interested in the Canyon, GLWS
-
• #6
ha, I know it may look like regression....but the new one is in between the two, rather than following the above trend...Enigma sale threw up a gem!

And weights for both...

Nice frames, I'd be interested in that Superleggero stem if it becomes available
-
• #17
Happy to sell that ahead of the rebuild as another stem going on. £45 for this one (100mm) but also have a new / unused 90mm one that I'm selling in my Components ad depending on size you need.
On that note, happy to sell the Superleggero RS seatpost (27.2, polish on black) too ahead of the bike stripping... £80. But I'll keep the bars for now.

• #18
great, sending pm
-
• #19
So the 100mm stem is sold pending collection. Can therefore do the 90mm per my components ad if anyone keen on the deda package with the Genesis. Still need to strip it all down, so will get more pics up once that's done.

Price drop...
Genesis Volare 931 Disc - now £1,250.
Any thoughts from the floor as to whether the Canyon would be more attractive if I got it fixed myself at londoncarbonrepairs and sold for slightly higher including their lifetime warranty?
-
• #21
I just had a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX (presumably same type of carbon) repaired in the NL and am very happy with the job they did for less than €200. Frame color is the same (matte black) and it's not too noticeable. But you can definitely see the transition from "old" frame to "new" repair spot.
It rides as it did before and after a week or so treating it a bit more carefully I'm back to riding it over cobbles and doing the odd bunny hop. If I was in the market for a good quality carbon frame and it had been repaired and backed by a warranty, I'd definitely buy it. -

If only I had the money for that Volare, such a great bike.

beautiful !
A double post as now replacing the replacement for the cracked Endurace, as something else has come up....wait for one bus and two come at once etc etc
Genesis Volare 931 Disc frameset
Just had built up and have done a few Richmond laps to try it out but in the interim something else has come up that I could not turn down, so needing to sell now as frameset and potentially some parts. This has literally done 40 miles.
Frameset dets and geo can be found here.
Selling complete frameset with the below... £1,350 price drop £1,300
*- new Superstar headset (green) have the unfitted black genesis one too.
Canyon Endurace CF SLX - Swiss (non-Canyon branded) edition, medium
An in-transit knock to the non-drive seatstay meant a warranty check at Canyon and only a crash replacement offered. Switching back to metal bikes.
I have had preliminary quotes from a few but the best so far is from http://www.londoncarbonrepairs.co.uk with ~£180 with clear coat and a lifetime warranty on the repair
The frameset will be sold with H31 cockpit, VCLS 2.0 seatpost, thruaxles etc, just as it is new here for £2,345
Looking for £700 / price drop £675 which I think is reasonable @£30% of the RRP, but hard to judge. Any inspection is more than welcome, in fact, recommended probably! I'll post pics of the stripped frameset this week.
Any questions or more details / pics needed then just shout
Cheers
Kieran
