Thanks, Clubman, food for thought there. I might write to Schwalbe and Panaracer just to see what a minimum order would be and what cost. After all if they have the moulds etc, it is surely not a huge deal? If they said eg 1,000 minimum, surely it would be possible to "crowdfund" or "viral marketing" sort of process, where forums, facebook groups, VCC, shops, collectors, enthusiasts, cycle-jumblists worldwide etc etc etc are spammed and encouraged to spread the word, and to get a conditional commitment from say half of that number? A pair each for 250 people in the world, surely?

Finally got around to taking some photos of my latest Gillott
It's 23 inch so my size and 22 inch across the top. Frame number is 554016. Surprising though as the number is off set and clearly visible through the paint work suggesting the paint is original however the decals are different from what I have seen, normally there would be a Gillott roundel on the seat tube and a Gillott scroll on the down tube.?.

The Reynolds transfer looks original and the paint around the spear lugs is crisp not sure what colour that is though.
The rear hub is FB Brevete fixed/free on a German 27 1 1/4" steel rim.
the front looks like all aluminium Harden but I cannot see any markings on the hub. The rims are dunlop 27 1 1/4. The mudguards are plastic and will be going in the bin

The Reynolds seat pin is an R4 which I'm sure is the wrong size I normally use an R5 27.2mm, this might explain why the seat tube came out so easily. Anyway there is no damage around the lug so all good. The handlebars and stem also came out without a problem.
The saddle is a gonner.

Looks a great find - Ebay /Gumtree?
Love them in this condition and cleaning every part.
Is the saddle bag frame homemade or professional made part?

It's professional.
The dropouts are Agrati though it looks like the deraileur hanger has been cut off. Not sure if you can see it the photos.
The BB threads are all sound and it was fitted with a nice Bayliss BB axle and cups.

I was talking to Rikki at Pankhurst Cycles a while back, and he has several 26x1 1/4 tyres. You can find him here: https://www.pankhurstcycles.co.uk/
