You're probably right but I was thinking more of the actions of seizing power rather than what comes after
Communists took power in Russia having had the state send millions to be butchered against Germany and still denied the workers basic rights. The centrists/middle classes also found it harder to defend the actions of the Tsar and worried that they'd be on the losing side, tipping the balance out of expedience or self preservation.
What happened when they were in power later of course, was despicable.
