Thanks, yours too!
Whats your stem angle? 12 degree?
-
• #28
I think I put a -14 Specialized pro-set stem 110mm on there.
I have a 135mm Pro Sprint -10 stem I might put on it, think it will look awesome but ridiculous. -

Yea, decided to go a different route in the end:
Replaced the ‘99 fizik poggio with a fizik volta
Also replaced the -12 deg spesh pro stem and zipp sl 70 bars with a canyon H11 (100mm stem, 390mm width)
Both for more future l@_@k
Still to do
- chop steerer
- sand and put matte finish on fork
- figure out some workaround with the spacer to make the canyon cockpit look a bit smoother around the steerer
Weight is now almost exactly 7.5kgs
Cheers

Slam the bars, right on the bearings, I think there is a canyon recessed spacer to make the top appear flush?
-
• #31
Yep
I purchased a used spacer set that has all the aligned spacers but i havent had the time to figure out the details -

Alright, small update: sanded the glossy fork and spray painted it semi-matte. Pretty happy with the result

I like these frames, quite like the disc version as well.
how do you like the volta? -
• #36
I’ve got one of these, subbed
-
• #37
Frankly, i havent investigated what saddle fits my a** best
Look > fit
But i am pretty happy with the volta. Of all road saddles i have used its the best so far. Its pretty wide iirc

Needed some color
Also, garmin added and re-swapped the broken canyon cockpit with the old spec -12 stem plus zipp sl 70 bars

Matt finish forks look good!
Just put a 130mm Zipp sprint stem on mine. -
• #40
Thanks
Zipp stem looks good
I need a zero setback seatpost to use a longer stem (but havent found one for decent money). Any idea?
-
• #41
Try to move down the cockpit if you want a bigger stem. Also, spin the bars down until they're level and move the shifters up
-
• #42
You can flip the Allez sprint seatpost to bring the mounting point forwards, so it would be positive setback, but you can put the saddle back on the rails to fit.

I have no spacers on top of the dust cap and a -12 deg stem - what else can i lower down?
Re bars understood
-
• #44
But the profile of the seat post is asymmetrical, no?

-17 or -25 deg stem? I really like the S-works CLP stem that has inserts to adjust up to 8 degrees. There are a few different ones that take the angle pretty far, but looks like they are discontinued.

• #46
You're right, it uses the Venge vias post, which isn't reversible :(
And I think you can buy 0 setback posts, but not cheap. You can get different insert to adjust the angle.
Looks like you have an insert to make your stem less than 12 degrees looking at the angle already? -
• #47
You can try to get out the dustcap, if you're comfortable there get a @mdcc_tester headset cover. Other than that -17 stem, but may look odd. Just try different stuff to get lower and longer, preferably with cheap placeholder stuff and not chopping anything just in case is not sustainable.
