I've had this 2008 Lapierre Tech3 frameset in the attic for a few years and decided to rebuild it a light flat bar commuter bike, in an attempt to clear my parts box.
I ended up buying many new parts to complete it so that didn't work well for me.
The frame is handmade in France out of lightweight aluminium (size M/L - 56cm ctt, 50cm ctc so suitable for someone around 5ft10) , the forks are carbon.
It has scuffs, marks and paint chips all around but no dents!
New parts fitted:
Planet X Singlespeed conversion kit (chain tensioner and single cog kit)
Black ATB grips
[ *old setup that has been removed to turn into a singlespeed - New Ritchey Comp white flat bars 31.8mm with 90mm Voodoo stem & blue rubber grips - New Shimano Tiagra 4700 2x10 speeds thumb shifters (those were £40 alone!) - New Tektro FL750 brake levers - New Jagwire inner/outer gear/brake cables - New FSA 10 speed chain*]
Used parts fitted:
Shimano Ultegra 6600 chainset with 53t and single chainring bolts with external bottom bracket and unbranded plastic pedals
Wheels are 700c Shimano clinchers, R500 front (bearings regreased) and RS10 rear wheel with 10 speed Tiagra cassette
Tyres are Continental Gator Hardshell front in 23mm and Gatorskin rear in 25mm
[- Shimano Tiagra RD-4700 rear derailleur & Sora FD-2300 front derailleur] removed
Charge Chopstick 27.2mm Seat Post 350mm
Bontrager saddle with titanium rails
Shimano RX100 "Super SLR" brakeset
Since the bike was stripped down to the frame, I regreased the (semi integrated) headset, trued the wheels, adjusted the brakes & gears. All consumables are in good order so you should be good for the next year or two depending on your riding habits.
It rides very well and would make a great commuter bike.
I am after SOLD FOR £130 for the complete bike, in singlespeed format
Test rides from The City (between Bank & St Pauls)
NOW SOLD AS A SINGLESPEED
