Carapaz is a possible non-starter due to injuries sustained in a crash last Sunday. The team will make a decision by Friday on if he starts.

He needed to get out of Trek-Segafredo. They seem to be focusing on accumulating GC riders who are past their best.

It’ll be interesting to see how he and Gilbert work together. On paper you have an attacking rider and a sprinter who is strong at the end of tough races, so you’d think it’d work well.
