Wtb - first timer road bike, small / 52cm ish

Thought it would be worth seeing what's out there - a mate of mine wants a first road bike.

I think he'd prefer something relatively modern rather than a vintage affair, but otherwise interested to see what's out there. Ideally not mega expensive as not sure he'll be up for spending a load until he's seen how much he'll use it.

Anything out there?

Haha I'd definitely push that if I thought he had the pockets for it but I don't reckon I can persuade him to jump straight in at the deep end for 3k+... Lovely bike though

All good on my side! It is a very smal bike with a short stem so really good for someone about 5ft2"

He's seemed to up his budget a bit if that helps - I've persuaded him he can get a lot more for maybe £800.

Got Pacer in 50cm,red, headset, seat post, stem, saddle, could probably find some bars, 105 10spd shifters n derailleurs, he'd just need cranks, bb, and some wheels to get going on.
Pm if interested, come to some deal on price, certainly have plenty left for the bits needed.
