  • Because the previous botcher left the tab under the nut, they had to cut the nut slots deeper than normal, so now with the bottom of the nut properly radiused, the nut is too low. Can't decide whether to shim or to bin it off and start with a new one. doesn't need much in the way of raising. less than a mm i reckon. Superglue soaked paper?

    Do you mean the two nuts either side of the floating bridge? If so they usually come with little cup-shaped shims which sit under the bridge to allow it to move backwards/forwards. Am I totally off base here?
