• I think my go-to then would be the ardent, possible the high roller. Have owned both (ardent is on my front wheel now), and both give a good balance of speed and grip, and are more than enough for Ashton court/yer tiz. Dhr will give gobs of grip, but you will loose some speed and nimbleness- as the name suggests, they started life as downhill tyres.

    Think to watch on those trails is tyre pressure and rubber compound. The rocks are like glass when wet, so lower pressures a bit and look for a medium compound tyre; durability goes down, but you can't buy new skin.
