• Just had a sidewall and bead part ways in a specialized tracer tyre. Is one potential consequence of running lower pressures an increase in abrasion between sidewall and rim? Or did I do something silly that precipitated the failure?

  • normally I say this is a pinch flat. the hole or stone you hit may have just damaged the tyre and it failed at a later date but this is typical of pinch flats in tubeless tyres.

  • I had similar when I clipped a cobble edge on a fancy speed bump thing. I had to reseat the tyre and all was fine although I couldn’t do this on the road and had a slow, low pressure, ride home.
