  • I think they were like that to begin with. But I also believe it has been done on purpose to make them look more rough.

  • Careful, that's Anna's job!

  • I think it’s more a process that gives them individuality.

  • Also if the 250’s complete will they be first female pair?

  • Yeah, that's what I meant. Not everyone's cup of tea but the last year's ones look a bit too generic/sterile in comparison.

  • I had a chat with Gary Boyd earlier. His partner, Zach Warren, is still out on the road. He's been ill, too (Gary had to bow out in Belgrade because of a kidney infection), but is still going. He has 210km left. They weren't matched too well; Zach was a better climber and Gary a better descender, so they got separated a lot. Gary wants to do it again next year, but as a single rider this time.

  • Also if the 250’s complete will they be first female pair?

TCR05 Angela Walker and Julie Bullen finished (Angela was at one of the CPs this year).

    Great ride, btw!

  • Sorry I meant of no7. Still not very with it!
    Thanks btw

  • They are in Lyon with around another 750km to go.

One on the parcours, one about to join it and then Zach and Damjan and the 250s.

  • If ever you want to ride it, slagging off what was originally the main job of the person who is now the boss on a public forum may not help

  • I wanna see shit and do shit. Use your body.

where would you go back to in europe to tour rather than race?

  • If ever you want to ride it, slagging off what was originally the main job of the person who is now the boss on a public forum may not help

He’s looking for an excuse not to ride it. I think we should all do what we can to ensure he does. Imagine the forum without Oliver for five or six weeks. Bliss.

  • I have absolutely no intention of ever riding it (or any other ultra race). Besides, I certainly wasn't slagging her off, but commented on a single cap, and I'm sure she's big enough to take a small criticism.

I personally don't see any point in making the numbering on the caps look more uneven. It looks fine just the way they have always been produced.

  • I'd obviously do it in about four days.

  • So, an early start for Damjan who is already underway. With just around 200 km to go, he should finish comfortably today. Zach has about half that distance to cover but is currently resting. By the end of today, the 23rd day of the race, only the 250s will still be on the road. They are just past Lyon and sleeping having stopped just before midnight local time. Trackleaders estimates around 750 km more for them. This could see them finish on Wednesday.

I am not sure how old they are and it would be ungallant to guess. Suffice to say, I suspect that they are significantly older than Oliver and that, accordingly, their endeavour removes any excuse he might have for not competing next year.

  • I see a successful partnership brewing @WornCleat and @Oliver Schick
    For 2020!!

  • Oh my God yes! Team #WornSchick.

Let's sponsor them so that they can't say no.

A good cause of their choice. I'll start with £50:

    1 . @mashton £50
    2 .

  • Not as stupid as my navigation would have you believe ;-) I’ll match you

    1 . @mashton £50
    2 . @GoatandTricycle £50
    3.

  • Just caught up with this thread, congrats @GoatandTricycle ! Also read the ^guardian article just now, can recommend.

  • I’ve ridden with Oliver. I know how it would end up. One of us would be buried somewhere beside some far off road, probably on the second day.

  • Zach has finished within 23 days. Damjan about to start the parcours.
