At a guess you have looked at the discussion about the 6 pots, which are better etc tips to keep them in working condition etc.

For those that don't know some swear by the 6 pots other swear at them and change the for the four pot calipers.

That sounds ominous! To be honest there's a part of me that's strongly considering keeping the engine, gearbox and electronics and swapping them into an Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite, mid-mounted with a supercharger and part out the rest of the bike... that or I'll sell it.

Believe that the zx9r engine fits the zx7r and was a common upgrade.

Part of me thinks that the smart roadster is a modern version of the frog eye.
