Ready for my first proper commute ever. 33km. Should be easy enough but I am allowing myself a couple of hours for it.

I had to move the rear light to accommodate the seatpack. This will have to do until I get my rack and rando bag sorted.

Mmm I am hoping I don't have to. But if that ends up being the case I'll use panniers and steel forks on a different bike.
If we move back to Aarhus the commute will be too long and I will have to rethink how I get my kms.

Having to cart a laptop in and out is what keeps me using a rack top bag. I’d love to go rackless (as long as it also means backpack-less)

Commute went great. Not undoable at all with 33km each way. 25km/h on the way out and 27km/h. If this carries on I'll be doing it in hour soon :)

Very nice! My commute strategy is to cruise in to work at 25km/h or so to avoid sweating, and hammer it home to get a workout in! Good balance

There's a shower at work and I am slightly obese so I sweat just putting on my gear

What bag do you use?
Carrying a laptop is the reason I still commute (4-7 km) with a backpack.. Would love to go without, but i'm unsure that a laptop would take kindly to the bumping that comes from going up and down curbs, potholes etc.

I found carradice great for laptop. I’m not precious about mine because it’s the work’s laptop and it’s quite solid anyway, if I was I think a laptop sleeve would bring some peace of mind. Front pannier worked well too but the rack is attached more permanently to the bike.
