:) it always makes me smile and never wears off, almost one year into ownership I'm still blipping in every tunnel.

Not sure if to post here or Police spotting but heading north on Blackfriars the police were pulling speeding bikes over this morning.
Did LOL as someone who had been riding like a belm on a GSXR got almost instant karma -

Does anyone have any idea what make/model this bike is?

The exhaust that’s currently fitted on my Virago 250 is well rusty do I bought a used one off eBay that needs a little repair but is in much better condition overall.
Chopped the silencers off the old one and went for a ride last night.
Sounds absolutely bonkers! Might just be a bit too much for the neighbours to bear though haha!

See if you can insert an ebay baffle directly into the pipe, allows you to start up and ride away from where you live, then remove (maybe take pliers) when you get somewhere more fun.
I kinda prefer running silent, those that don't notice a mc or hear one wouldn't see or hear a freight train running into them so find it doesn't make much differnce on open road (around town filtering though yes to noise).
Starting to be more police on roads round here, so silently running up helps avoid alittle attention -

Is it cheaper to buy a random slip in baffle?

I think I’m going to try to modify something like this.
It’d definitely fit onto the pipe from the front cylinder, the problem will be the pipe from the rear cylinder.
What looks like the rear pipe on an xv250 is actually a fake pipe that does nothing. The rear cyclinder exhausts through a pretty s pretty small bore pipe that runs between the cylinder and the battery/rear tyre and comes in to join the stock exhaust at right angles. I think I can braze something onto that universal silencer to connect up and hopefully dumping it in there is ok and maybe takes the edge off the noise just a little bit!
I’d read a lot that suggested straight piping these bikes led to a massive reduction in power but I didn’t see that being the case when I went for a spin yesterday.

Just traded the big Suzuki GS1100GK for a 27,000m 1999 Kawasaki ZX-9R (zx900c2). Needs a bit of a tidy up on fairings and a few other minor scruffy bits but hopefully have something I can finally shift now! Shame it's not a first generation model as I'd be tempted to keep it...

Aye, I was told to watch for them!

Think I got my monies worth out of last tyre, properly thin down the centre, don't think it would have made a burnout send off lol.
Also fixed my bikes new auto start feature, every time you turn right it would start itself, very handy feature missing from modern bikes.

They do that automatically too
Miles of semi knobble vague handling hell, all totally worth it, my spot for the night is totally silent apart from some otters catching and killing some things. Semi knobbies got me down some gravelly tracks and then onto a Marsh/beach area miles away from anyone

Might run lean..
Yeah, gonna run it about for a bit and pull the plugs.
Think tuning the carb is easy enough.

Pulling plugs has never worked for me, am never sure that I can trust it.
Tried colour tune and still have the kit but was never sure that underload that thing were right.
Ended up getting a fueling dyno run done to satisfy my mind.
This is me, I over thing think things and want things and worry. Have holed pistons in the past as I missed things like bent throttle body spindles.

Good luck ;)
At a guess you have looked at the discussion about the 6 pots, which are better etc tips to keep them in working condition etc.
For those that don't know some swear by the 6 pots other swear at them and change the for the four pot calipers.
