Depends on how hard they are looking. I dumped a pocketful of keys and coins and an overlooked small pocket knife into my carry on before the xray on a recent flight. I was sure I was going to lose the pocket knife but they completely missed it. I got very lucky.

The only way to shave

Yeah, one of the (many) down sides of shaving with straights / kamisori is that you can't travel hand luggage only on flights.
Having said that, I have children so need ALL the bags and cannot go away on my own for longer than I can skip shaving for.
More than made up for by my fantasy conviction that hotel maids see my razor by the sink and realise what a badass sexy guy I must be.

You can travel in Europe with a < 6cm blade pocket knife on your person or in your carryon.

Feathers are ragged as fuck. I like polisilver super iridium, still very sharp but much smoother
so I bought three different packs of blades:
Polsilver Super Iridium
Astra Superior Platinum
Gillette Silver BlueBest of the lot has been Gillette Silver Blue for me followed by Astra, then Polsilver

The rule actually states that the following IS NOT permitted in hand luggage:
"Knife (with a sharp or pointed blade and/or blade longer than 6cm)"
Bit confusing.

Too lazy to check entire thread. Mostly electric trimmer my face hair, and shave my neck. I have one of those butterfly-clamp single blade razor things. Need some more blades.
What is the most cost-efficient blade available? I don’t know/care enough to feel a huge difference but I don’t want awful quality. I want a few uses off each side of the razor.

Astra can be bought in bulk for cheap. They're my preferred blade.

Derby are pretty cheap (100 for £8) and reasonable.

Wet shave and I gave up using my Brain...eventually got a Edwin Jagger Chatworth...lovely but I never use it...use Gillette Fusion and that does a good job...so, if anyone wants a classy wet razor...ask...cost me £75 and rather it went to a good home and be used.

I preferred the brain typo.

I am a teacher and 63...of course I have given up using my brain! That is a given.
Technically it was not a typo but predictive text correction.

Age is no excuse. I’m 30 years your junior and gave up on my brain being useful decades ago.
Also, the razor is very tempting, saw your FS ad the other day. I won’t have liquid funds for a few weeks. Keep me in mind if you don’t sell.

Butterfly opening? I had one for a travel razor and they left me very unimpressed -easily clogged and loose razor inside so ultimately dangerous. The Merkurs are far better quality.
I thought they might. I normally just travel with a Bic disposable or similar which no-one has had an issue with.
