What's the consensus on China's move here - ride this out, continue toward the treaty exit date, then roll HK up as a province, or lose patience and remove HK's self governance now?
Including violent crackdown, declare fake news and foreign interference. After that no need to formally change self governance laws. Personally I think there's a lot more bloodshed coming. I would like to be wrong.
