  • where is the furniture blog

  • My new job contract prohibits me from designing/selling my own furniture. So if I do spend my free time making furniture it will only be private I am afraid. Unless I am at some point allowed to share the work I do for my new company.
    Tbc

  • Looks nice and compact!

  • It is really nice thanks.
Lacking digital interface for pulse settings but I can live with the analogue approach for £500

  • Looks like I got Monday off and won't start new job until Tuesday.
That means this is on the menu:

  • As a potential hoarder I think it looks cozy. Lots of potentially useful stuff!

  • Give me your address mate. I'll send you some boxes of shit we have accumulated :)

  • As I am starting new job on Tuesday it opens up for long commuting. 33km each way.
This means mudguards and slicks for the Grando.
The forks are not designed for mudguards so I am making some sort of thru axle mount on Monday. Driveside should be fine but I need something clever for nds.

    excellent!

  • Yes. It is quite necessary also. All the t-shirts are a snug fit these days

  • The ID of the thru axle is 6.8 so Ill be able to tap it M8. This sorts out the non drive side.
Best thing about all of this is that it will take half an hour to make.

  • A bracket utilising the lower brake caliper mounting would be more permanent / less of an arse when removing the wheel, but possibly slightly less elegant.

  • I have drawn something up. I'll try both tomorrow

  • Inspirational stuff this. Some of the people on this forum have fine minds and hands.

  • I had a semi productive day. Got interrupted quite a lot so I did not get as far as I'd like with the cargo bike. But I got interrupted by mates I haven't seen for 4 years do that was alright.

Got wishbone stuck on and I am pleased with that. Next time I'll do some fillets and get it filled down.

  • Very smart, and I guess now no tools required to remove the front wheel compared to threading into the NDS of the TA.

  • Yeah. Just undo the axle that's it.

Thanks to August Cycles on IG

  • Thanks to @pit I got a fucking rowdy handlebar for the cargo bike.
Sooo wide and such a nice sweep.

My mate that dropped by the workshop today brought some Woodman goodies, which I forgot to photograph. But dual Woodman black 1 1/8" headsets and and a scary light Woodman seatpost also black. I think I'll make a custom tall stack stem for the cargobike instead of a Woodman stem and get it painted same colour as the bike. But we'll see how much time I have.

I also got a new headset I think needs to go on my road bike. It has been lacking purple.
