  • I really hope they stick to the V4 geo and canti posts on the "classic"Pomp. Meanwhile i will continue to scan Craigs List here in Ca. for another V4 frame.

  • I missed out on one of the last V4's, On-One took payment but couldn't find any left in the warehouse, I did receive a prompt and polite refund.
Consequently I have been waiting for new stock for months, ever hopeful given reports on FBk and checking in here, that new stock would be immanent.
On one haven't been good at replying to email enquiries re the Pompino, but I did have a messenger exchange with Dale at On-One via their web page on Friday; no new Pomp's on their way, design and specification not yet finalised or sent to the manufacturer (I presume somewhere in Taiwan), so I'm not holding my breath and will likely just forget the idea of owning one for now.

  • Same here. Everytime i inquired about the classic i never got a reply. So im going to rebuild my CX SS beater and have a go. Cheers.

  • Good luck with your plans sorry to be bearer of bad news. Personally I'm still going to sell the Roadrat I've been using as a general use commuter, the Pompino was intended to replace; but I've other plans to build a touring bike that will take up my time that will replace the RR and be a lot more use elsewhere.
I still haven't given up on owning a Pomp but as it's unlikely to happen anytime soon I'll be doing other stuff too. Shame init.

  • Anyone want some Pompino forks from a V4? Raw finish.

Unused and uncut (300 mm steerer).

    £20 plus £5 postage.

    Thanks,

    Pete

  • Managed to grab myself an absolute bargain of a Pompino on eBay a few weeks ago. Going to change it from flat bar to drop bar come next month and then go and do some off-roading on it through the local woods and might try out SSCX on it too.

Will post some pictures up of it soon. :)

  • If anyone's got a large frame and fork they're interested in shipping to Canada, PM me.

  • Put drops on my commute pomp again, but I never seem to get the handling right with them.

Going back to Mary bar tonight I think.

I have fully built and well running Pomp V4 size M that doesn’t get the miles it deserves. If I can get a decent price for it I would love to see it go
either as fully built or as frameset+wheels (incl headset & BB)

The bike is located in Denmark, greater Copenhagen area. Shipping to UK would be £50

    Specs:
-Blue Pompino V4 size M. Has some scratches and chips (see photos), no dents or bumps
-No-name carbon fork w alu steerer
    -FSA headset
    -Shimano BB
-SRAM Rival cranks w. 38 NW chain ring.
    -Tektro brakes w tektro levers
-Wheels built by poison bikes .de (nova tech hubs, Mavic A119 rims w gatorskins (<10 km. Challenge chicane (also hardly used) can go with them if you want to go SSCX. Wheels are used, but are straight and running like new.
-Shimano freewheel 16 teeth as far as I recall
    Everything is well maintained.

  • Any updates on the earlier post if they plan on releasing a v5 Pomp?

  • any mudguard recommendations for a blue v4 pomp? was just going to go for some sks ones. Cheers

  • I built mine twice with drops, not right either time, went with genesis sweep bars of their caribou at the time, instantly felt right

  • any I guess. I had SKS Chromoplastics. PDW look a bit nicer.

  • I built up this pomp for nipping around town - super fun bike.

  • Love the versatility of my Pomp.

Took me about 10minutes to remove the guards, swap the wheels out and change the gearing down to go from commute mode to this. Did a 44mile fixed gravel ride with a couple sections of mtb singletrack thrown in there too and the bike handled it like a boss!

  • was on that run too (on the arkose) - still can’t believe you boys went down that first bit of trail fixed. hat !

  • Hey man, good to put a username to the face!

I’ve ridden my mtb up there a fair bit but I think riding those trails fixed is way more fun!

  • @M_V @cozey What ride/race was this? Sounds ace. Sorry to hijack thread
