Bike packing = single/fewer nights away lighter weight kit straps your bike.

No.

Both are touring, bike packing are simply a lightweight way of carrying your stuff.

It allow people without touring bike to go touring, and more importantly. Does not negatively affect the bicycle handling as much.

No reason why you can’t go on a long tour without racks.

Of course this doesn’t really fit into play, there’s always going to be a massive crossover bike packing is just the markets way of making touring cooler

Frame bags etc have been around for ages, the new style tapered saddle bags suck..
