Considering buying a Swiss Cross disc frameset as an alternative to my Croix de Fer for a bit more liveliness. Anyone got any experience of them?

I've owned both. Swiss cross is defo more 'alive' Do it. They are great.

I love mine. But no rack/guard mounts might be an issue? I've been thinking about if swapping the fork out could rectify this.

What rear mech do you have?
thinking of going 1x on the Breakaway I am building up.

I'm just about to rebuild my Road Logic 1x. I'm expecting a delivery from wiggle today! Sram Apex shifters and mech, Rival chainset and Force 22 brakes, so a bit mix and match.

What size chainring and cassette?

I’d been thinking 48t front and 11-36 at the back.

It’s a bit of a case of what I’ve got, I already had the chainset and that’s 42 and the cassette is 11-28. It’s 10 speed too fit with the budget I had. I’ll see how I get on with that and change it if needed.

9 speed deore rear mech, 10 speed 105 shifters. 11-34 cassette with 34t ring. Should get me up ventoux no problem

Have you had any issued with the chain dropping with it not be a clutch rear mech ? I'm guessing it should be ok a road bike.
