  • I don't understand why the dimple would be there unless it was underinflated.
    Try it with different tire/rim combos.

    speaking of tyres, anyone have the problem of when putting on new tyres you get the annoying bloody lump round the valve that is a general pain in the arse to get rid of? Any solutions other than stressing, sweating, swearing for an hour??

    The suggestion then was also to wiggle the valve and push it up before inflating.

    Pressure is at max reccommended.

  • For skinny rims mount one side of the tire. Now put the valve in and the inner inside the tire, carefully isn't folding or twisting. Now mount the other side of the tire, starting from the valve. Push the valve in to give some room to the tire beads.
    You can also put a strap or just put your weight in the tire at the valve so it doesn't jump out of the rims during inflation
