  • Yes, just trim the mudguard, bolt it to the rack and your golden.

  • Soon going to have a stock of the thin C clips for converting a 2 speed wheel to use 3 sprockets..

    £4 including the postage over.

Let me know if interested and I can create a backorder list!

  • Wut?!? Trim the wut? I'm hoping the kids at Brixton Cycles will know what to do... 😬😂

  • The rear mudguard blade, cut it just above where the L shaped tab bolts onto the current rack.

drill / punch hole and bolt to the new RJT rack.

  • Me too!

Also, how do you modify the shifter again?

  • Use a friction, 3 speed or old 3 speed shifter and add a notch into the inner plate - Ill go through in detail later

  • C clips for 3 speed;

  • @R.hobbs - You OK sending brompton stuff to NL? I just notice that the order I placed at the weekend is just "received"

  • Me or sjs sorry?

Sjs export stuff just takes an extra day or so to despatch, feel free to email sales@sjscycles.com to check it

  • Just got a s2l. Its really nice! Suprisingly quick. Swapped out the bars for carbon a la @hoke and fitted a brooks cambium courtesy of @GreatSince78. Its got some upgraded roller wheels amd kojaks. Gonna stick a ti post on, change the brake pads and some stans in the tubes.

  • I am sorry, I meant sjs and even as I typed it I thought "aiee, I probably shouldn't ask that here". Just got a bit worried as there was a bit of a warning about brompton parts export

  • Mudguards is very important IMHO. I would in hindsight keep the steel seatpost, but having a carbon seatpost does make it super light and responsive, just be careful you need to shim the collar and your seatpost won’t be a low as the standard one too.

S2L is a great choice. Mine is current in bits as I’ve ruined the chain and chain set, depending on how much you use it over a year I would service if everyone 6 months to keep it nice a fresh.

  • No sweat, if your able to pay your country is not blocked!

  • That is what I hoped :-) Thank you

  • Carbon bars definetly feel better. Ill be folding a lot so dont trust the carbon seatpost gonna go ti.

  • get the jtek ti post, all other are pony

  • Still 520mm at £109.99 from £200!

  • Anyone has a black crankset that goes for cheap? Thanks

  • Sorry if I missed mention of it in previous pages, @R.hobbs , were you not looking to make a more affordable version of a child seat? I'm vaguely contemplating a diy version but I reckon chances of making it work are slim...

  • Grey S type Brompton with lfgss sticker on frame, and tan walls, Thursday morning about 9.30 heading round Hammersmith roundabout.

    Looked nice..

  • Yes, but time avails!

I won’t be doing the production, just acting as a “manager” for it?

We shall see, our little human is steadily getting towards needing one so that’s pushing it, but not for a while realistically
