This sort of report is always ominous and I don't hold out much hope.

I saw somebody on one of these things for the first time last week. The guy came passed me at at least 25ish mph. It was a fairly bumpy country road and it looked really uncontrollable he was really struggling to keep it going in a straight line, small wheels, weird undamped front wheel suspension and lots of power seamed to make a bad combination. It did have a rear brake light so that was nice.

Described as 'a serious collision' on BBC Travel London. I haven't found further details. The location suggests that a pedestrian may have been involved, but impossible to tell without reports.

I also saw a car on the footway in Kingsland Road last night, just after the two railway bridges, going north. I didn't see too clearly what happened as I was too busy trying to ride around the broken glass, but it looked as if the driver might have grazed the building and/or got stuck between it and a lamppost. Police in attendance, I think they were trying to cordon an area off. Did anyone see more?

This is a type of crash I find quite horrific:
A friend of mine once told me that he worked on a documentary about the A3, a notorious German motorway. Someone had managed to fly his car into a forest over a barrier without damaging the barrier (he may have become airborne due to excessive speed, I guess), so nobody could see that someone had crashed there, and he was trapped like this woman and unable to move. They found his remains much later, when he had already died.

It now been confirmed that the office was hit be a car (BMW, by the looks of it) 10 people arrested on suspicion of murder.
Perhaps this is distasteful, but there does seam to be rush to call it murder if a vehicle goes anywhere near a police office.

I really don't think there's an especial 'rush' to charge suspects with murder if the victim is a police officer. Sadly, there have been plenty such cases in which the victims were ordinary members of the public, as well as a couple of successful prosecutions for the murder of cyclists when drivers used a car as a weapon. I think it's a type of murder that has become more likely in recent years, and not only because of the terrorist atrocities in Nice, Berlin, and London (and probably elsewhere, but those are the ones I can remember). I have no evidence for that and no idea what the reasons might be, though.

It’ll be interesting what evidence of intent there going to be able to find, in less they’ve all admitted to driving round all night looking for a police officer to kill.

The current layout of Queen's Circus is an absolute disgrace and very, very hazardous. It wasn't great before, but better. Still, they just need to get rid of the roundabout and build a proper crossroads.
