Poles under the toptube fixed with Velcro straps. Tent in a saddle bag. Pegs went in my bar bag to give it some rigidity whilst riding.

My tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag and liner all comfortably fit in the Carradice saddlebag on my Surly on the previous page. I do have a small tent though...

My usual set up is restrap bar bag and frame bag, with a carradice at the back.
Distribution is usually tent in the Carradice, poles in the frame bag, sleeping bag and Matt shoved into the bar bag (I ditch the compression bag for the sleeping bag and just shove it as I find it fits the width of the dry bag better that way and I can compress it a bit with the dry bag).
Once I’ve got wider/more flared drops I might switch this up and go for tent up front and a more modern seat pack on the rear with the sleeping gear. Anything I need/want access to goes in frame bag or the little bag that attaches to the bar bag holster.

Keep the rack, it will ride a lot better stuff on there than in bags

Where do you guys carry a tent on your rackless setups? I usually carry the sleeping bag and tent on this front rack but looking for a way to transition to just bags... any ideas?
