Not allowed to take drinks or snacks from a spectator? Didn't realise it was that strict. You are quite correct. I had assumed that it only said no dedicated support in the rules.
"No 3rd party support, private lodgings or resupply. All food, drink and equipment must be carried or acquired at commercially available services"

I think you misunderstood, Stonehedge would have taken snacks and drinks FROM the riders, not offered them.

I'm so fucking annoyed, have been mountaineering around the Timmelsjoch control point for the last two weeks and had no idea that they were passing through there. Would have looked out for riders with snacks and bidons to offer if I had known!
