Why would he do that? He’s playing well in the states, rated highly over there by the public, the press and the fans, why would he come back to try to get derby into the premier league?
Are you owned by Americans?

It would be a player-coach role apparently. Perhaps he wants his family to live somewhere where there isn't so much gun violence? Probably need to tell him not to visit Nottingham.

yeah i read that after I posted.
would that kind of ratchet up the pressure on Cocu, having Rooney in the background, any dip in form and there'd be calls for Cocu to get the boot and Rooney to step in.

Got to say I did not see Rooney as the managering type.
