Vintage? I think this Yema is boss, in fact there’s so much cool French stuff I keep coming across from the sixties and seventies.
Edit: on closer inspection the watch I’ve linked to is possibly a redialled bitsa but you get the drift.https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202710784592

Squale 20 Atmos?
http://www.gnomonwatches.com/watches/squale-watches/20-atmos-classic-ceramic-1545-sel-bracelet
You can get variants that don’t use the exact Rolex-style Mercedes hand, eg:

50 Atmos is a more classic Squale design if you can stretch to it - really nice case etc.
Or a Seiko Turtle (eg SRP777). Only some references come on a bracelet, eg SRPC23.
Plenty of black dial Seikos with a tool vibe, eg the Samurai:

And the turtle mini:

I'm looking for a nice automatic diver with a steel bracelet for maximum 500 pounds
It's not auto but its a proper certified diver - no idea what local pricing would be:

Otherwise I really rate these ( a bit more utilitarian though)

I'm looking for a nice automatic diver with a steel bracelet for maximum 500 pounds. I had a look at a Tissot Seastar 1000 because this I pretty much what I'm looking for but I found it a bit too shiny/classy..
I do really like the Steinhart Ocean one but it annoys me a bit that it an exact copy of a Submariner.
Does anybody have some recommendations?
