can I just get longer bolts and 5mm spacers, or is that asking for sheared bolts
If you're going to move something, make it the disc rotor not the caliper. Spacers are available for this purpose, e.g. https://www.evanscycles.com/hope-6-bolts-hub-disc-spacer-EV240027
Trying to fit an XTR caliper to my inbred project. It's an IS mount, with a Superstar single speed hub
The disc seems to be too far inboard on the frame for the caliper to fit. On my regular geared MTB, the disc is 15mm inboard from the inside edge of the IS caliper mount on the frame. On this inbred, it's 20mm, and the caliper won't align with the disc.
a) what's going on? Is the hub to a different standard?
b) can I just get longer bolts and 5mm spacers, or is that asking for sheared bolts / dental bills?
thanks
