The guy was able to get £120 from the Job Centre for a new bike so he went to local Halfords and found one that allowed him to get to work, and even take a trip down to Droitwich along the canal for a food festival. Definitely not a bike any on here would buy but seems he got a bike that fulfills his needs and perhaps avoided some of the build issues @edscoble mentioned. Think we forget sometimes that bike shaped object/lowest common denominator bikes do sometimes fill a need and get more people cycling, which can only be good. Only downside is if the bikes break/ crap parts create more landfill longer term.
It's a terrible bike, I have to send some back because the frame and/or fork isn't aligned.
A Carrera would be a much better choice (like the Carrera Axis).
