• I didn't get on with Digest bars.
    Salsa Cowchippers on the other hand are dope

  • Ritchey Venturemax comp, or for less flare, salsa cowbells, whatever you get, go wide, as wide as you can get.

  • I have salsa cowbell and love them, my road bike had the selcoff ones, good because cheap but the shape is no where as nice, I’ll sell them if you fancy as I’m going to get more cowbells

  • Any recommendations for flared bars? Currently looking at

    As mentioned, the Cowchipper is the perfect blend between road and off road drop handlebar.

    Alternately the Cowbell have less flare if you wish for a little more road-focus one (this is what I use for off road touring and road).

    Cowchipper;

  • I love the Ritchey Evo Max compact bar, that I have on my commuter.
    It's not as extreme flair, but the tops are flattened and swept back a little, which I find really nice.

  • Didn't get on with the Love Mud Bomber and now I am riding the Selcof Sterrato bars. Compared to the compact drops I had before they added a bit more control on rocky descends and more room for a handle bar roll. I can now strap on my massive 3.5 season sleeping bag and still have enough space to comfortably use every possible hand position.
