  • I detect a distinct Tina Kino influence in the composition and subject matter.

  • Got a couple shots back from the Contax G1 before it died, shot on Kodak Gold

  • Thats some impressive metering for expired slide film!

  • Canon Eos 300, Kodak Ultramax 400

  • He’s filming someone taking Polaroid’s of you right? This is Hipster Gogglebox.

  • Have been pushing myself to try portrait photography as it's not something I've appreciated/got my head around previously. Has took me by surprise as I've been quite enjoying it.
Also starting to like Fuji C200 having not really shot it before.

    Nikon F4/F80
    1 - Ektar
    2,3,4,5- Fuji C200

  • Those are really good!

    What lens were you using?

  • Keep it up, this is nice!

  • Cheers both ! Using the 50mm f1.8 af-d mostly. Experimented with a 35mm f2.8 ai but was rushing it and not nailing the manual focus (see photo 4).

Had thought about spending a bit more for a nicer 50mm lens but the f1.8d is working out fine so far.

  • I think it's only worth to spend more on a "nicer" 50mm if one has special demands on a regular basis, like one really needs f1.4 (hardly anyone does) or the slight barrel distortion really is an issue (if you have a hybrid workflow this is corrected in two seconds nowadays).
50/1.8 AF-D is sharp as fuck and bokeh is also nice (just look on that first shot you posted, it's crackin').
If you decide to shoot more and more portraits I'd rather get a longer lens at some point.

  • Been meaning to get these developed for a while. Shot on camera with lens etc.

  • Blue hour huh?

    Nice though.. dig the vibe!

  • Thanks very much

  • Nice though.. dig the vibe!

Me also, like 2&4 in the first post and both in the second

Edit - @jambon as you've been procrastinating about cameras for a while, are these all 35mm ?
If so I'd just stick with 35mm and shoot more of this stuff, it's really nice

  • Thanks a lot. Yeah these are 35mm, for casual shooting I love the format, especially on auto 90% of the time. When stuff is particularly successful it'll give me an excuse to revisit in 120mm.

  • Expired Fuji Venus 800 gave some interesting results (And I think the scans are bit off, some of the brighter colours and lights have leaked across, don’t think it’s the film...)

  • I like the colours in those. Shame Fuji killed off Venus 800 and Natura 1600

  • I work 10 minutes walk from the below gardens, which is handy for taking photos of pensioners in their natural habitat on my lunch break
