  • I don't understand your thinking...

    The fence is ruined.
It's neither yours, nor the person your buying off's responsibility to pay to repair it.
You want the people you're buying off to pay half the cost to replace the fence that's legally not theirs.
You feel their not doing so are grounds to reopen discussion on agreed price of purchase.
You're quibbling over sub 1k worth of work on what I guess is a 500K+ purchase.

  • Tbh my problem with said fence is the fact that they seem to have made no efforts to come to an arrangement with the neighbour... We are not gonna ask them for anything in that front, we are just gonna make sure we don’t get short changed on any other way (ie make sure they get rid of the unbelievable amount of shit they stored under the roof)

  • Could be the sellers of your property are unsociable bastards and hence they couldn’t be bothered. As said here number of times move, get round there say hello and sort it out.

  • You are not being short changed in ANY way.
You buy a property as seen/after survey.
If you knew about the fence post those events you can't start whining now.
Their relationship with neighbour has nothing to do with you.
