Dunno if similar but my old Audi dropped a bollock and clutch became undrivable.
Almost impossible to put into gear. So the gear syncro selector was fucked as was the dual mass flywheel as was the clutch plates.
Only 80k on it too.
Had to have it repaired. Gear box out and 2k lighter.
Then my wife wrote it off a few months later. 😎
My (cheap) golf's clutch has a very normal bite and doesn't appear to be worn (comparing it to having driven a worn out clutch in a yaris once). Last few days however, it has been sticking and causing me to stall unless I gave it loads of revs. Even then it still stalled sometimes. It is fine changing through the rest of the gears.
I had to get home today from my mate's house and the 90 minute drive was so sketchy, with me attempting not to come to a stop. When I really really had to (before I was leaving a large gap and gradually approaching queues in second), I gave it enough revs to not stall.
At home, I stuck some dot 4 in and it needed not very much at all to be full so I ended up putting too much in. Really couldn't see the max/min of the reservoir so assumed it was really low. I'll take it for a quick spin later to see if that has helped.
What does this sound like? Online suggests: Failed clutch release bearing, Failed slave cylinder, Failed clutch master cylinder, Broken clutch linkage
Any help would be much appreciated please (slightly long paragraph i know - apologies :( )
