  • I am 6:08 Blue, working out parking now as will be driving down that morning.

Anyone know if the London City Airport Parking is overly busy?

  • Anyone got the placed for the 100miles Pruride london, who won’t gonna use the place cheers.

  • I don't believe places are transferable.

  • What time does the very first wave leave Stratford?

  • 5.44 is the first start.

  • Have you a previous years number you could fix to your bars? I reckon you could rock up and join at the first roundabout. There’s simply too many people to check one person.

  • Finally got my rider number: 2842
You can get your wave and start time from here if you know your rider number: https://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/100-final-instructions/important-timings/

06:16 start time for me so if I can be done by quarter past 11 I'll be happy.

(mostly just putting this here so I can easily find it later)

  • Anyone doing it fixed? You just jump on wherever you want. They are public roads. Just don't expect food, water and mechanical assistance like those who have paid entry. I've iLlEgAlLy joined for two previous editions towards the end of the waves and I was never questioned by anyone.

  • Yep I'm doing it fixed. 48x15

  • I'm in E10, you should be able to park the Leyton side of the Olympic park in a Sunday. If you can't, I'll eat my hat

  • Just for safekeeping, I'm number 28427, loading between 06:56 & 07:36, and starting at 08:16 if I read things correctly.

Trying to work out where to get dropped off next...

  • Fuck fuck fuck.

I've been given the wrong rider pack.

    Fuck.

  • Eek! I've done it in 47/17 in previous years. Going for 48/19 this year because I've been too lazy this year :)

  • 44x15 previously so we'll see.

  • 4:51:17
    Made my sub-5h target

  • Congrats!
    4:29:08 me, I am ded

  • Time to fall asleep in the garden I think

  • Nice. Gears? I don't think I can get sub 4:30 fixed but would like to think it's doable on the road bike. At least I didn't start cramping up this year which made it a lot more enjoyable. Maxed out at 41mph (165rpm).

  • Might have seen you, not many fixed riders out from what I could see, saw someone with silly big ring and small sprocket, could have been 48/15.

Yeah, did it on gears, think my riding time was 4:20 or so, took a short break after Box Hill to refill water and have a stern word with myself.

  • Hard life being a pro

  • Only saw one fixed or ss rider the whole day.

  • I didn't see anyone else fixed, no bromptons or moultons either. Did see a couple of handcycles and a couple of tandems though, which cheered me up as did the guy on what I guess was a mtb/gravel bike with super wide bars. If you saw someone who looked like this, you saw me.

  • I stopped at newlands corner for water and a banana, then at the top of box for more water and pulled over in dorking to say hi to a colleague but otherwise it was a nice constant roll

  • Wasn’t you then, this guy had an Aventon.

I stopped briefly to change water bottle positions, as my seatpost bottle cage position was a bit awkward, and 5 minutes or so at Box Hill drink station.

Just électrolyte tabs and food to buy, stingy on freebies today...

  • Newlands corner was pretty well stocked I think. Didn't really stop to browse though
