Sneaking an early ride around the London100 route

Was talking to a colleague earlier who is apparently planning on getting up at 3am on Sunday to cycle the closed London 100 route before the event starts for real. I'm not sure how I feel about it...

On one hand, I applied this year, didn't get in and was gutted as I've done it a couple of times before and absolutely buzzed off it. But on the other hand, is it a bit cheeky? Won't there be officials along the route that'll tell you to do one? Will a lot of the route still be open to traffic at that point? (not that that matter, I guess)

Opinions???

Are there not people "on here" that have sneaked in on the normal route while the event is on?
So just ride it like everyone else, just no numbers on your bike.

They're open roads, you can do what you like.

Also I was wrong, some of the road in central London are closed.

holy guacamole! why would you?!

I gave my mate a lift to Richmond so he could get the train to Stratford for the start last year. They started closing roads around RP and Kingston on the way back, I had to blag my way across near the Hospital. I don't imagine they could do much if you are already on the course!
