@ColinTheBald my John Wilson Avon rod is actually the 5 piece travel version, but don't really want to carry that around for 10 days, also means I'll want to pack reel etc. Those telescopic rods do look really useful though for future, good shout. Encouraging to hear about the good public access.
@853Superfly will do some googling and see what's suggested for permission. Should be interesting plumbing the depth of Loch Ness when I've only been fishing once before and that was 4ft deep! Useful info regarding permits too, will investigate the places we're staying. Thanks a lot guys.
