• I bought a cross-check and cautioned that in my experience surly represent poor value for money. Having since ridden similarly priced and purposed bikes, I think Surly suffer in comparison unless you are planning long fully loaded tours. Had someone warned me I wouldn't have wasted hundreds of pounds, a Genesis Croix de Fer handles luggage and is a much more lively ride unloaded. Having regretted buying a Surly, is it not legitimate to share that experience before others part with their cash.
